Door to be fitted with fire shutter
The task was to fit a fire shutter in the outside recess of the front door area in residential south London flats. Generally, there would be another door between the flat’s front door and the main lobby area, but due to the logistics of this location (lift and other factors) this was not possible. Therefore, a rated fire shutter was required. It was fitted with a auto/visual unit that would close the shutter when the lobby fire alarm went off. It would also reopen once the fire alarm turned off, for example during a false alarm.
